Drag Module
Included with every model. Fast, precise kiss cutting and plotting on adhesive vinyl, window film and sandblast material.

Summa F Series tooling
The F Series is configured around the materials and jobs you need to produce. Dennison will help you select the right module and tool combination, then prove it on your own material at our West Yorkshire demonstration centre.
How it fits together
The table provides the working platform. Modules carry the tools, and the tools decide how each material is cut, creased, routed or marked. Up to three modules can be fitted, so different operations finish in one workflow.
Modules
The head carries up to three at once, so most jobs run without a module change.

Included with every model. Fast, precise kiss cutting and plotting on adhesive vinyl, window film and sandblast material.

The two tangential modules. Core+ is the all round precision module with high downforce; Fast+ accelerates vertical movement for detailed, high volume work.

1.4 kW routing for rigid signage, display fabrication and industrial components, with clean edges on foam PVC, MDF, acrylic and composite panel.

3.7 kW at up to 60,000 rpm, roughly twice the speed of the standard router, for demanding rigid material and edge quality.

A driven rotary blade for the toughest textiles, with minimal horizontal force so the material stays where it was laid.
The line-up
Every figure below is Summa’s, and every one is a maximum under their test conditions. What a given material will actually do is a question for a test cut, which is why we keep a machine here to do them on.

Vinyl, film and thin flexible media, cut by dragging the blade through the material.
Drag Module
Cuts the face material and leaves the liner intact, for complex shapes on self-adhesive stock.
Core+ or Fast+
Flexible and rigid media up to 6 mm.
Core+ or Fast+
Rigid media up to 5 mm.
Core+ or Fast+
Dense media up to 15 mm.
Core+
Foam PVC up to 8 mm. Summa’s newest cutout tool, and for many shops it replaces a set of specialty blades.
Core+
Fine detail on material up to 6 mm. A refined blade for thinner substrates, where a heavier one would distort the shape.
Core+ or Fast+
Corrugated board up to 8 mm without oscillation, so no dust and considerably less noise.
Core+
Electronic oscillating tool, driven by an electric motor at up to 12,000 rpm over a 1 mm stroke. Cuts through material to 10 mm, and lightweight material to 18 mm.
Core+
Pneumatic oscillating tool. Thick media up to 25 mm.
Core+
Thick and soft media from 20 to 42 mm, the deepest cut in the range.
Core+
Creases at a range of depths, so cartons and point of sale fold square.
Core+
Perforates thin and thick media, for parts that snap out by hand.
Core+
Angles from 0 to 45 degrees in rigid media up to 27 mm, for folded and mitred constructions.
Core+
V-shaped grooves at 45 degrees up to 5 mm.
Core+
Acrylic, aluminium composite, MDF and solid board cut to a machined edge. Bits in several diameters, for the 1.4 kW standard router or the 3.7 kW high frequency router.
Router Module
A driven rotary blade for woven and laminated textiles, with minimal horizontal force so the material stays in register.
Rotary Knife Module
Fold lines, part numbers and assembly marks drawn straight onto the material while it is still on the bed. A universal holder takes your own pen.
Drag ModuleTool names, descriptions and figures are Summa’s own and are maximums under their conditions. Which tools a machine carries depends on the model and the modules fitted. We confirm both before anything is quoted.
Blades, bits and wheels
A tool holds a blade, and the blade is what you replace. Genuine Summa blades, bits and creasing wheels, supplied by Dennison. Tell us the tool and we will tell you which blade it takes.

Test your own material
Tell us what you need to cut, crease or route and send us a sample. We will test it on a working F Series, identify the tooling it needs and show you the result before you make a decision.
